BIO

Jean-Guy Bureau was born in Westchester County, New York.  His love of imagery and light began as a child while accompanying his mother, a commercial artist, on many trips to renowned museums such as the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), the Guggenheim and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

He is an award-winning cinematographer and director on numerous films, television programming, music videos, and national commercials. With a passion for story telling, Jean-Guy’s talent has earned over 35 awards including 2 Emmys, numerous Cine Eagles, Tellys, and top honors at national and international film festivals.

Jean-Guy’s production credits as both director and cinematographer include over 150 episodes of Prime time film and television for the Discovery Channel, Investigation Discovery, National Geographic, CBS, ABC Family, The History Channel, The Learning Channel,  Discovery Health,  Animal Planet,  MTV Europe and Destination America.
